The RELS Summer Dig in Israel

Religious Studies sponsors a summer archaeological dig in Israel. Plans are already underway for the summer 2014 dig. In summer 2014 (June 7-July 3) OU students will have the opportunity to participate in an archaeological dig at Megiddo, Israel. Sometimes described as the "Crown Jewel of Biblical Archaeology," Megiddo overlooks the strategically important Jezreel Vaelley and has evidence of human habitation from the pre-historic era to the Roman period. At the Megiddo excavations students will be able learn about archaeology in Israel while excavating a site that played an important role in ancient Israelite history.
